How I work

When working with Mi’cah you will experience a safe, open, and non-judgmental environment to share your story and work towards a positive future. You will gain the ability to identify and navigate your emotions, improve communication skills, increase daily functioning, improve interpersonal relationships, and achieve short- and long-term goals.

From a young age I realized that the majority of interpersonal conflicts that I witnessed were due to misunderstandings. I believed if people were able to sit down and hear the perspectives and life experiences of others with an open heart and a spirit of understanding then there would be less conflict. Later in life I found that I could assist with individual, couple, and family goals through therapy and fuel my passion for helping others.

My ideal client is motivated to achieve their short and long term goals with enough self compassion to persevere if at first they don’t succeed.

Being a part of someone’s journey to live a more positive and fulfilling life is what inspires me to help others.

For self-care I practice yoga and meditation, try new restaurants, go to dance classes, recharge with loved ones, and sleep.

Oprah, Keke Palmer, Brene Brown – They are all successful in their respective areas and I would love to pick their brains about life, business, mental health, and how they became who they are today.

I am a strong advocate for taking care of your mind, body, and soul. When working with clients I lead with an integrative approach utilizing varies modalities of talk therapy, mindfulness, and social/emotional development.

I am a dog mom of 3, a Big Brother super fan, and I was a child actress.
