Pamela Broussard

“I can honestly say I’ve never experienced care like this before. From the first session, I felt like they really saw me and wanted to understand what was going on beneath the surface. They don’t just focus on symptoms—they look at how the brain, body, and even gut health all connect, which made so much sense once I started seeing changes.” – R.U.

Welcome

My name is Pamela Broussard, and I believe that through life’s experiences, we learn, grow, and develop. However, sometimes we need support to process our feelings and emotions so we can reach our full potential. Trauma—whether past or present—can be a significant obstacle to setting goals and achieving them.

I am passionate about partnering with individuals who are healing from past trauma or navigating through daily challenges. Through evidence-based clinical practices, I help clients develop skills and engage in the inner work needed to create positive change and thrive.

My goal is to build a genuine and honest partnership that empowers you to deepen your self-understanding and work toward restoring behavioral, relational, and overall wellness. I take an integrative, holistic approach, tailoring my work to individual needs. I provide a space where you or your child can openly share your thoughts, feelings, hopes, and dreams, knowing they are met with understanding and care.

Let’s schedule an initial session to explore how therapy with me could support you or your child on this journey toward healing and growth.

How I work

I utilize an integrative approach to therapy, blending techniques from various modalities to meet each client’s unique needs and circumstances. This method allows me to create effective, individualized treatment plans that align with what works best for each person.

By incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, traditional talk therapy, art therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy, I provide a comprehensive approach to address challenges such as depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions. My goal is to help clients find meaningful relief and empowerment on their journey toward well-being.

SPOTLIGHT

I chose to become a counselor because of my deep desire to help others navigate life’s challenges. By providing a safe, supportive space for open conversation and active listening, I aim to empower individuals to discover their own solutions and foster personal growth. My passion for counseling stems from witnessing its transformative power firsthand, as it helped a close family friend overcome mental health struggles and find a path toward healing.

If I could teach the world one skill, it would be effective communication. It is the cornerstone of healthy relationships, allowing individuals to share their needs, feelings, and desires while fostering understanding, respect, and emotional connection. Effective communication also resolves conflicts, builds trust, and prevents misunderstandings, laying the foundation for strong, lasting and meaningful relationships.

Set Boundaries, Find Peace: A guide to Reclaiming Yourself by Nedra Glover Tawwab.

My ideal client is someone who recognizes that overcoming anxiety, depression, past trauma, and life’s challenges requires both sacrifice and risk. They understand that meaningful change demands an investment of time, energy, and effort. It also involves letting go of long-standing, ineffective coping mechanisms and replacing them with healthier strategies for growth and healing.

To prioritize my well-being, I practice self-care by spending quality time with family and friends. I also incorporate exercise, meditation, spirituality and pampering activities like massages and manicures into my weekly routine.

If I were hosting a dinner party, I would extend an open invitation to all my family and friends. My goal would be to create an atmosphere where guests feel relaxed, free to be themselves, and enjoy mingling with others. However, among those in attendance, my cousin and two best friends would be essential guests because their lively and entertaining personalities would set the perfect tone for the evening.

Holistic counseling goes beyond addressing specific psychological issues by recognizing that an individual’s well-being is the sum of multiple interconnected factors, including mental, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual health.

This approach emphasizes treating the whole person rather than focusing solely on symptom relief. Holistic therapy seeks to uncover and address the root causes of distress, understanding that imbalances in one area of life can affect overall well-being. My goal is to guide my clients in identifying and resolving their underlying issues, fostering lasting and sustainable mental health outcomes.
