The Serenity Protocol

A Whole Person Model for Meaningful Change

You may understand what is keeping you stuck. That does not always mean you know how to change it.

MIND • BRAIN • BODY • NERVOUS SYSTEM • BEHAVIOR • MEANING

Who Is This For

Maybe you have spent years working on yourself and understand exactly where your patterns came from—but you still find yourself repeating them.

Maybe you have never been in therapy.

You simply know that something does not feel right.

You may feel depressed, anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, lonely, unmotivated, or unsure of your purpose.

Or maybe everything looks good from the outside, yet you still find yourself wondering:

The Serenity Protocol is a coordinated therapeutic process designed to work with more than one part of you.

MIND • BRAIN • BODY • NERVOUS SYSTEM • BEHAVIOR • MEANING

We help prepare you for deeper work, support you through it, and help you translate what you learn into meaningful changes in everyday life.

This May Be for You If...

You do not have to know exactly what is wrong.

Sometimes the starting point is simply: “I don’t want to keep living this way.”

Why this approach is different

Sometimes Insight Is Not Enough

Knowing why you feel the way you do can be incredibly valuable.  But understanding a pattern is not always the same as having the capacity to respond differently when that pattern appears.

That is why the Serenity Protocol does not work with thoughts alone.

The Serenity Protocol considers these areas together.

We Are Not Simply Trying to Help You Feel Better

We Want to Help You Build the Capacity to Live Better

The goal is not a life without sadness, anxiety, fear, grief, stress, or discomfort.

The goal is greater capacity to understand what is happening inside you, work with those experiences differently, and choose how you want to respond.

We want to help you:

The Experience Is Only One Part of the Work

The Serenity Protocol is designed around what happens before, during, and after deeper experiential therapy.

We do not start with the ketamine session.

First, we help build the psychological, brain, body, and nervous system capacity to engage in deeper work. Then we create space for a different kind of therapeutic experience. And afterward, we help you turn what emerged into changes you can actually live.

Prepare Your Mind, Brain, Body + Nervous System for Deeper Work

Before deeper experiential work begins, we want to understand what may be keeping you stuck—and help strengthen the foundations that influence your capacity for change.

In psychotherapy, you begin identifying your values, patterns, avoidance, protective responses, relationships, and the ways you respond when difficult thoughts or emotions show up.

Weekly LENS Neurofeedback provides consistent brain-based support throughout preparation.

Functional wellness looks at sleep, nutrition, movement, stress, substance use and compulsive patterns, digestion, gut health, energy, and other lifestyle factors that may affect how you feel and function.

Breathwork and somatic work help you become more familiar with your body and nervous system before entering deeper experiential work.

You are not just preparing for a ketamine session. You are building greater capacity for the work itself.

Move Beyond Understanding Into Direct Experience

KETAMINE-ASSISTED THERAPY

By this point, you have already spent time understanding your patterns, clarifying what matters to you, developing greater psychological flexibility, working with your nervous system, and building supportive brain and lifestyle foundations.

Now the work shifts.

Instead of only talking about your patterns, experiential therapy creates an opportunity to notice thoughts, emotions, memories, relationships, sensations, and parts of yourself from a different perspective.

There is no particular experience you are supposed to have.

The goal is not to force a breakthrough.

Your therapist supports you in approaching what emerges with openness, curiosity, and willingness.

This is not ketamine instead of therapy. It is ketamine inside a larger therapeutic process.

*Ketamine-Assisted Therapy requires appropriate clinical and medical screening and is incorporated into the Serenity Protocol based on individual needs and eligibility.

Turn What Happens in Treatment Into What Happens in Your Life

The ketamine experience is not the finish line. After dosing, the focus begins shifting from:

What did I experience?

to:

What am I doing differently?

You return to psychotherapy and integration. LENS resumes after the dosing week and continues supporting the larger process.

Breath and somatic practices may continue helping you work with activation and internal experiences.

Functional wellness remains available when physical or lifestyle foundations need additional attention.

But most importantly, you begin practicing the work in your actual life.

  • Are you noticing your patterns sooner?
  • Are you responding differently when you become activated?
  • Are you approaching something you used to avoid?
  • Are your relationships changing?
  • Are you setting different boundaries?
  • Are you caring for yourself differently?
  • Are you taking actions that move you toward what matters?

Because insight matters. Experience matters. But the real goal is helping change become part of how you live.

Why the services work together

Different Areas of Expertise. One Coordinated Process

The Serenity Protocol is not simply therapy plus neurofeedback plus functional wellness plus breathwork plus ketamine. Each component has a reason for being included.

BUILD CAPACITY → PREPARE → EXPERIENCE → INTEGRATE → PRACTICE → MAINTAIN

Each service has a different role. Together, they support one intentional process of change.

Detailed Program Journey

A Closer Look at the Serenity Protocol

Your journey is individualized, but the program follows an intentional sequence.

The phases provide structure.

Your readiness helps determine the pace.

We do not move you through treatment simply because a certain amount of time has passed.

Each phase should help prepare or support what comes next.

Therapy • Weekly LENS • Functional Wellness

We begin by understanding you. Your therapist starts exploring:

Weekly LENS Neurofeedback begins early and continues as a foundational brain-based component throughout the active program.

You also meet with Bryan for your initial functional wellness appointment. The conversation centers around five foundational areas:

Depending on your individual needs, Bryan may also explore digestion, bowel health, gut health, hydration, energy, protein intake, blood sugar stability, routines, and other lifestyle factors.

The purpose is not to place everyone on the same wellness or supplement protocol. The goal is to understand how you are currently living and identify physical or lifestyle factors that may deserve additional support.

WHY THIS PHASE MATTERS

Before asking you to engage in deeper therapeutic work, we want to understand and support some of the psychological, brain-based, physical, and lifestyle factors that may influence your capacity for change.

Psychotherapy • Weekly LENS

Preparation is much more than learning what Ketamine Assisted Therapy may feel like.

This phase helps you begin understanding how you respond to difficult internal and external experiences.

Your work may include:

You begin learning to recognize what automatically pulls you away from the life you want and practice different ways of responding.

WHY THIS PHASE MATTERS

Insight matters. But we also want to help you develop greater flexibility in how you respond when difficult thoughts, emotions, memories, or old patterns appear.

Somatic Work • Breathwork • Continued Therapy • Weekly LENS

As preparation progresses, we intentionally bring greater awareness to your body and nervous system.

You may practice:

WHY THIS PHASE MATTERS

You can intellectually understand an experience while your body responds very differently. We want you to develop greater familiarity with your body and nervous system before deeper experiential work.

These practices can also become tools you use in everyday life outside of treatment.

Ketamine Assisted Therapy When Clinically and Medically Appropriate

Ketamine is not introduced simply because you reached a certain phase on a calendar.

It is introduced when adequate preparation has occurred and you, your therapist, and the appropriate medical provider determine that Ketamine Assisted Therapy is appropriate.

By this point, you have begun:

Ketamine then becomes one experiential tool within a much larger process.

WHY THIS PHASE MATTERS

We are not simply trying to create a powerful treatment experience.

We want you to enter experiential work with preparation, awareness, psychological flexibility, curiosity, and support.

Integration Therapy • Weekly LENS • Body-Based Support When Helpful

The work does not end when the Ketamine Assisted Therapy session ends.

Integration helps connect the experience with your everyday life. You and your therapist may explore:

WHY THIS PHASE MATTERS

A meaningful experience does not automatically create meaningful change.

Integration helps move the work from:

“What happened?”

to:

“What am I going to do with it?”

Therapy • Weekly LENS • Functional Wellness • Body/Breath Support as Needed

This is where the work begins showing up in ordinary life.

You may begin:

The focus increasingly moves from gaining more insight toward practicing what you already know.

WHY THIS PHASE MATTERS

The real measure of the Serenity Protocol is not simply what happens inside therapy, LENS, breathwork, or Ketamine Assisted Therapy.

It is what begins changing outside of treatment.

Another Ketamine Assisted Therapy experience may be appropriate.

Or another experience may not be the right next step yet.

Together, we consider:

WHY THIS PHASE MATTERS

More treatment does not automatically mean better treatment.

The next step should have a reason.

When another Ketamine Assisted Therapy experience is appropriate, the cycle of experience, integration, practice, and reassessment may continue.

As you progress, the Serenity Protocol becomes increasingly individualized.

The focus shifts toward maintaining what you are learning to live.

This may include:

The goal is not continual intensive treatment.

The goal is greater capacity to live your life.

What Are We Working Toward?

Not perfection. Not being calm all the time. Not never experiencing anxiety, sadness, anger, grief, or fear.

We are working toward greater:

Serenity Protocol outcomes showing greater capacity, awareness, flexibility, and choice
Serenity Protocol outcomes showing greater capacity, awareness, flexibility, and choice

We Are Not Simply Helping You Understand Yourself.

We Are Helping You Learn How to Live Differently.

What Progress May Look Like

Progress is not defined only by symptom scores. You may begin noticing progress when:

That is meaningful change.

You Are Not Moving Between Unrelated Services.

You Have a Team Working Toward One Shared Goal.

Is the Serenity Protocol Right for You?

WHO MAY BE A GOOD FIT?

The Serenity Protocol May Be Worth Exploring If…

That is what the initial conversation is for.

WHO MAY NOT BE LOOKING FOR THIS TYPE OF PROGRAM?

The Serenity Protocol Asks You to Participate in the Process.

The Serenity Protocol may not be the right fit if you are looking only for a Ketamine Assisted Therapy dosing appointment without preparation, psychotherapy, or integration.

This program asks participants to engage in the work before, during, and after experiential treatment.

Ketamine Assisted Therapy is also not appropriate for everyone and requires appropriate medical and clinical evaluation.

The goal is not to sell someone every service Serenity offers.

The goal is to determine whether this coordinated approach is appropriate for the individual.

Frequently Asked Questions

No.

Ketamine Assisted Therapy is one possible component of a much larger therapeutic process.

The Serenity Protocol also incorporates psychotherapy, weekly LENS Neurofeedback, functional wellness, body and nervous system work, breathwork, preparation, integration, real-world practice, and ongoing reassessment.

Ketamine Assisted Therapy is included only when it is clinically and medically appropriate.

Your therapist and the appropriate medical provider will help determine whether it belongs in your treatment plan.

If ketamine is not appropriate, our team can discuss what other Serenity services or treatment approaches may better fit your needs.

There is no single timeline that is right for everyone.

The early phases are intentionally structured.

Later phases become increasingly individualized based on readiness, progress, goals, clinical needs, and the amount of integration or practice needed between experiences.

During the active portion of the Serenity Protocol, participants will generally have regular psychotherapy and weekly LENS Neurofeedback.

Some phases may include an additional functional wellness, breathwork, somatic, Ketamine Assisted Therapy, or integration appointment.

Your individual schedule will be discussed before and throughout the program.

LENS provides a consistent brain-based component within the Serenity Protocol.

Rather than treating neurofeedback as a separate service, Serenity incorporates it alongside psychotherapy, preparation, integration, and other whole-person supports.

Our team continues to evaluate how clients respond to the combination of these approaches while being careful not to make claims beyond the available evidence.

The initial appointment focuses on understanding how you currently live and identifying physical and lifestyle factors that may influence how you feel and function.

Areas may include:

  • Sleep
  • Nutrition
  • Movement
  • Stress
  • Substance use or compulsive patterns
  • Digestion
  • Gut health
  • Hydration
  • Energy
  • Daily routines

Recommendations are individualized rather than automatically placing every participant on the same protocol.

No.

Supplement or functional wellness recommendations are based on the individual, their goals and needs, response, provider scope, and other relevant considerations.

The Serenity Protocol is not designed as a supplement sales program.

Previous therapy may actually provide a valuable foundation.

The Serenity Protocol may be particularly interesting to people who understand themselves well but still feel caught in emotional, behavioral, relational, or physical patterns that have been difficult to change.

You do not have to have completed therapy before entering the Serenity Protocol.

Some participants begin because they simply recognize that they feel stuck, disconnected, anxious, depressed, unfulfilled, or unable to live the way they want.

Taking psychiatric medication does not automatically exclude someone.

Medication history and any medical considerations related to Ketamine Assisted Therapy must be reviewed by the appropriately qualified medical provider.

Never stop or change medication without speaking with the professional responsible for prescribing it.

People may explore the Serenity Protocol because of concerns such as:

  • Depression
  • Treatment-resistant depression
  • Anxiety
  • Trauma and PTSD-related symptoms
  • Chronic stress
  • Emotional disconnection
  • Loss of motivation
  • Relationship or behavioral patterns
  • Lack of meaning or purpose
  • Feeling stuck despite previous treatment

Clinical appropriateness is always determined individually.

Different parts of the Serenity Protocol may have different billing arrangements.

Some services may be eligible for insurance while others are self-pay.

Our team will explain expected costs, available insurance options when applicable, and self-pay services before you begin.

What Feels Stuck?

You do not need to know exactly which treatment you need.

You do not need to understand why you feel this way.

And you do not need to have your entire path figured out before reaching out.

Start by helping us understand:

What you are experiencing.

What you have already tried.

What continues to feel stuck.

And what you want your life to look like.
